 New Mexico State fee's for Loan Officer's

 Application Fee: $200.00

License Fee: $200.00

Annual renewal license fee: $200.00

Reinstatement fee: $100.00

 

In the state of New Mexico newly licensed MLOs are required to complete 20 hours of NMLS-approved education.

 

Mortgage Educators & Compliance offers a great 20 hour SAFE Pre-License course

Of the 20 hours this course includes;

 

  • 3 hours of Federal law
  • hours of ethics (which shall include fraud, consumer protection, and fair lending issues)
  • 2 hours of non-traditional mortgage lending
  • 9 hours of undefined education (referred to as electives)
  • 3 hours of NM law

 

New Mexico has a requirement for 3 hours of instruction on state-specific law which may be satisfied by either taking a NM
comprehensive course or a state-specific elective course. 
*MEC does not offer the NM state law 3 hour course*
